FAQ
Common questions about Obsol.
Do you store my documents?
No. The fingerprint is computed in your browser, both when you anchor and when you verify. The file never leaves your device; only the fingerprint reaches us.
What is written on the blockchain?
A fingerprint of the version and a timestamp. No names, emails, file names or file content.
Which network do you use?
Solana. Records are final within seconds, fees are predictable, and the ledger is public, so anyone can audit a record without an account or a wallet.
Can I delete a version?
Records on a public chain cannot be deleted. You can always anchor a newer version, which makes previous copies report SUPERSEDED.
Does the recipient need an account?
No. Verifying is free and needs no account or installation.
